This month, we are implementing a subset of Link’s (Legend of Zelda) movement!

Minimum Viable Product: Third person character controller
  • Player can move
  • Camera can rotate

Goal: Core movement
  • Jump off ledges (character should jump when walking off a ledge)
  • ‘L-Targeting’ should orient and lock the camera direction
  • While ‘L-Targeting’, movement should be constrained
  • While ‘L-Targeting’, jumping forward, backwards and side-to-side should be possible

Bonus: More abilities
  • Camera should be automatically controlled (for the most part)
  • Rolling
  • Grabbing ledges
  • Climbing vines/ladders
